You do not need to be tech-savvy to get started. A smartphone, a valid Ghana Card, and a completed application are enough to begin.

Who can apply?
Instaclean is currently focused on cleaning professionals serving Accra and surrounding areas.
To apply, you should:
- Be 18 or older
- Have a valid Ghana Card for identity verification
- Be willing to complete an application and background review
- Have a smartphone with the Instaclean app installed
- Be honest about your experience, availability, and the areas you can serve
Cleaning experience helps, but we also consider reliability, communication, professionalism, and how you present yourself to customers.

Step 1: Start your application
You can apply in three ways.
Option 1: Apply through the Instaclean app
- Open the Instaclean app and sign in or create an account.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Become a Cleaner.
- Read the short intro and tap Apply.
- Complete the guided application form.
You can save your progress and return later if you need to.
Option 2: Apply on the website

The web application includes three main sections.
1. Personal information
You will provide your name, phone number, email, address, city, and where you work.
2. Professional details
You will share your cleaning experience, skills, services, equipment, availability, work areas, and references.
This helps Instaclean understand what jobs you are suited for.
3. Verification and agreement
You will complete Ghana Card identity verification through our secure verification partner and agree to Instaclean’s terms and background screening process.
After submitting, you will see a confirmation screen with the next steps, including application review, ID check, possible interview scheduling, background check, and platform activation.
Option 3: Apply through WhatsApp
Instaclean also supports WhatsApp recruitment for applicants who prefer to start by chat.
You will answer similar questions and submit your application after reviewing your summary. Your application is saved into the same review process as the app and website flow.
If you applied through WhatsApp before, use the same phone number when signing in to the app so Instaclean can match your records.
What you need before applying
Before applying, prepare:
- Valid Ghana Card
- Ghana phone number
- Email address, if available
- Your service areas
- Your availability
- Details about your cleaning experience
- References, if requested
- Information about whether you bring your own cleaning supplies or equipment
Step 2: Complete identity verification
Ghana Card verification is required before your application can move forward.
Instaclean uses a secure verification partner to confirm your identity. Make sure you are on a stable internet connection and allow any required pop-ups, camera access, or permissions during the verification step.
If verification does not load, try:
- Updating Chrome or Safari
- Switching between mobile data and Wi-Fi
- Temporarily disabling strict pop-up blockers
- Trying again from another device if possible

Step 3: What happens after you submit
After you submit, your application is stored as pending while Instaclean reviews it.
Typical review steps may include:

Background check
This is based on the agreement completed during the application.
Approval decision
If successful, your cleaner account is activated.
Typical review time is about 3–5 business days, but this may vary depending on application volume and verification timing.
You may receive updates by app notification, email, WhatsApp, or support message.

Step 4: Approval and account setup
When Instaclean approves your application:
- Your cleaner account is created or linked to your existing login
- Your cleaner role is activated on the platform
- Your profile is created using the information you provided
- Your professional details, such as skills, service areas, availability, and rates, are activated
- You can continue setup in the cleaner area of the app
Important: approval does not always mean you are immediately ready to receive jobs. You still need to complete your activation checklist.
Step 5: Complete activation before your first job
Once approved, Instaclean guides you through activation steps. You must complete them before you can fully use the cleaner dashboard and receive job offers.
The activation checklist includes:
1. Application approved
Your application has been accepted.
2. Identity verification cleared
Your Ghana Card or KYC check is complete.
3. Service location saved
Add the address or map location where you operate from.
4. Payout details added
Add how you want to receive payments after completed jobs.
5. Profile photo uploaded
Add a clear photo of yourself, not a placeholder.
You can complete these items in any order. Once all steps are complete, you can access the cleaner dashboard, manage your profile, view jobs, and update availability.
Step 6: How customers find and choose you
“Listing” on Instaclean means your cleaner profile becomes eligible to appear when customers book cleaning services.
Instaclean does not work like a public directory where every cleaner is shown to every customer at all times. Instead, customers see cleaners who match their booking details.
Customers usually find cleaners in two ways.
1. Choosing a specific cleaner
A customer may browse available cleaner profiles, review ratings, read profile details, and choose someone directly.
Your profile may include:
- Profile photo
- Bio
- Skills
- Services
- Ratings and reviews
- Service areas
- Availability
2. Platform matching
A customer may choose to let Instaclean match them with a cleaner.
The system may suggest cleaners based on:
- Availability for the requested date and time
- Distance from the customer’s booking location
- Service area
- Skills and requested service type
- Ratings
- Reliability
- Booking history and completion behavior
If you are available and a good fit, you may receive a job notification and can accept or decline based on the platform flow.
What affects whether you appear for a booking?
To appear for a customer’s booking, the following usually need to be true:
- Your cleaner profile is approved and active
- Your Ghana Card verification is complete
- Your activation checklist is complete
- Your service location is saved
- You are available for the requested date and time
- You do not already have a conflicting booking
- The customer’s location is within your travel range or service area
- Your skills match the service requested
- Your profile visibility is turned on
Profile visibility settings
You control whether customers can discover your profile.
To appear in search or matching:
- Your profile must be active
- Your account must not be deactivated or pending deletion
- Profile visibility should be enabled
- Your availability should be accurate
If you turn visibility off or deactivate your account, you will not appear in customer search or platform matching until you turn it back on.
How ranking works
When several cleaners qualify for a booking, Instaclean may rank them using factors such as:
- Distance from the customer
- Rating from completed jobs
- Match with the requested service
- Availability
- Reliability
- Response time
- Completion history
There is no separate listing fee or manual listing step. Once you are approved, activated, visible, and available, you become eligible to appear for matching bookings nearby.
Tips for a stronger cleaner profile
To improve your chances of getting booked:
- Upload a clear, professional profile photo
- Write a short, honest bio
- Select the services you are confident delivering
- Set accurate service areas
- Keep your availability updated
- Respond quickly to job notifications
- Avoid last-minute cancellations
- Complete jobs reliably
- Ask customers to leave reviews after good service
- Keep your payout and contact details up to date
A complete profile builds trust. Good ratings, reliability, and clear communication help you get more jobs over time.
Step 7: Getting paid and working jobs
Once you are active and booked:
- Customers pay through Instaclean when they book.
- You complete the job.
- You mark the job as done in the app.
- Earnings are released after the job is completed, subject to Instaclean platform policies.
- You can withdraw to mobile money or bank, depending on your payout setup.

Frequently asked questions
How long does approval take?
Review usually takes about 3–5 business days, but this can vary depending on application volume, verification timing, and whether Instaclean needs more information from you.
Can I save my application and finish later?
Yes. The web and app application flows support saved progress, so you can return later.
I applied but do not see Cleaner mode yet. Why?
Your application may still be under review, or you may need to complete the activation checklist after approval.

My phone or email is already in use. What should I do?
Instaclean allows one open application per contact to prevent duplicates.
Sign in with the phone or email you used originally. If your phone number changed, contact support.
I applied through WhatsApp. Is it the same process?
Yes. WhatsApp applications go through the same review and approval process after submission.
Use the same phone number when signing in to the app so Instaclean can match your application.
Do I need my own cleaning supplies?
You can indicate whether you bring your own supplies and equipment.
Some customers may provide supplies, while others may expect the cleaner to bring them. Your profile helps set expectations.
I was approved but I am not showing up for customers. Why?
Check that:
- Your activation checklist is complete
- Your profile status is active
- Your profile visibility is turned on
- Your service location is saved
- Your availability is updated
- You are free at the customer’s selected time
- The customer is within your service area or travel range
- Your selected skills match the service requested
New profiles may also take time to build reviews and matching priority.
Can I work with a friend or team?
Instaclean may support co-cleaner teams through invitations or team features in the app.
Contact support or check the app if you want to work with a partner.
Verification will not load. What should I do?
Try updating your browser, switching internet connections, allowing pop-ups, and trying again.
If the issue continues, message support and include your device type and where the verification stopped.
